Two refineries, Jeep's home plant and Lake Erie in Toledo

Serving Lucas County, Wood County

Toledo refines its own fuel. PBF Energy’s Toledo refinery can process about 180,000 barrels a day and makes gasoline and ultra-low sulfur diesel. Cenovus runs a second Toledo refinery rated at 160,000 barrels a day. Refineries shut units down for planned turnarounds, and PBF scheduled a 50- to 60-day one at Toledo for late 2026. Turnaround crews bring cranes, compressors and light towers, all on diesel.

Toledo also builds Jeeps. The Toledo Assembly Complex makes the Wrangler and Gladiator. In October 2025, Stellantis announced a $400 million investment to add a new midsize truck there in 2028, with more than 900 jobs. Supplier trucks and plant yards keep diesel and DEF moving around the complex.

When Lake Erie turned toxic

In August 2014, Toledo lost its drinking water without losing its power. An algal bloom in Lake Erie surrounded the city’s water intake, and microcystin showed up in treated water. From August 2 to 4, about half a million people were told not to drink the tap water. One failed utility can stop a site cold. Backup plans here cover more than the grid, with fuel on hand for generators and pumps.

Mobile fueling or bulk delivery: which fits your Toledo site?

Three delivery formats. We’ll quote whichever fits your volume, site access and cost target.

Wet-Hose Fueling
Mobile fleet fueling
Overnight or day shift, fuel direct to each tank
A driver pulls into your yard after hours, fuels every truck or piece of equipment directly, logs each fill, and clears out before your crews arrive. No staff required on site.
Best for: Trucking fleets, delivery yards, rental fleets and service vehicles.
Tank Wagon Delivery
On-site tank fills
20 – 4,400 gallons per drop · same-day or scheduled
A smaller delivery truck fills your day tank, jobsite bulk tank or generator. The flexible option when volume varies or site access is tight.
Best for: Construction sites, generator refills, day tanks and smaller bulk storage.
Transport Load
Bulk transport delivery
Full transport loads to 7,500+ gallons · scheduled
Tractor-trailer delivery straight into large bulk storage. The lowest cost per gallon for high-volume buyers.
Best for: Data centers, large industrial sites, agriculture and rail yards.
