Wright-Patterson Air Force Base is Ohio’s largest single-site employer. More than 38,000 military, civilian and contractor workers report there, about double the 2002 headcount. Memorial Day 2019
On the night of May 27, 2019, 15 tornadoes touched down across the Dayton area. The strongest was an EF4 with winds up to 170 mph. It tracked about 20 miles through Trotwood, Dayton and Riverside, injured 166 people and caused about $500 million in damage.
