Fuel from Tampa, Florida's busiest airport and Ian's rain

Serving Orange County

Orlando’s fuel comes down one pipe. Kinder Morgan’s Central Florida Pipeline runs 110 miles from five terminals at Port Tampa Bay to delivery points in Orlando, carrying gasoline and ultra-low sulfur diesel. A second, 85-mile line is the only pipeline source of jet fuel for Orlando International. Florida has no refineries, so when Tampa’s port or that pipeline stops, Orlando feels it. Kinder Morgan shut the line during Hurricane Ian in 2022.

Orlando International is the busiest airport in Florida. It handled 57.7 million passengers in 2025, seventh in the country. Shuttle, rental and freight fleets work the roads around it every day.

Ian’s rain

Hurricane Ian came ashore on the southwest coast in September 2022, but Orlando got the water. Orlando International picked up more than a foot of rain in 24 hours and 22.42 inches in total. It made September 2022 the wettest on record for the city. Walt Disney World measured more than 12 inches by the second day. Flooded roads slow every delivery, so fill generator tanks before the rain starts.

Mobile fueling or bulk delivery: which fits your Orlando site?

Three delivery formats. We’ll quote whichever fits your volume, site access and cost target.

Wet-Hose Fueling
Mobile fleet fueling
Overnight or day shift, fuel direct to each tank
A driver pulls into your yard after hours, fuels every truck or piece of equipment directly, logs each fill, and clears out before your crews arrive. No staff required on site.
Best for: Trucking fleets, delivery yards, rental fleets and service vehicles.
Tank Wagon Delivery
On-site tank fills
20 – 4,400 gallons per drop · same-day or scheduled
A smaller delivery truck fills your day tank, jobsite bulk tank or generator. The flexible option when volume varies or site access is tight.
Best for: Construction sites, generator refills, day tanks and smaller bulk storage.
Transport Load
Bulk transport delivery
Full transport loads to 7,500+ gallons · scheduled
Tractor-trailer delivery straight into large bulk storage. The lowest cost per gallon for high-volume buyers.

Orlando fuel delivery questions, answered

Where does Orlando's diesel come from?
The main supply line starts in Tampa. Kinder Morgan's Central Florida Pipeline runs 110 miles from the Port Tampa Bay terminals to Orlando, carrying gasoline and ultra-low sulfur diesel. Florida has no refineries, so a port closure or pipeline shutdown on the Gulf side affects Orlando too. Keep site tanks full ahead of hurricane season.
How should Orlando facilities prepare generators for a storm like Ian?
Fill standby tanks before the storm and get stored fuel tested ahead of the season. Ian dropped more than a foot of rain on Orlando International in 24 hours and flooded roads across the county. Delivery gets harder once streets are under water.
Do you fuel fleets around Orlando International Airport?
Yes. Mobile fleet fueling (wet-hosing) fuels parked shuttles, trucks and equipment at your yard, with DEF on the same visit. Tell dispatch about any badge or escort rules when you set up the schedule.
Do you deliver fuel 24/7 in Orlando?
Yes. FuelGo dispatch runs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, including nights, weekends and holidays. Call 800-720-4546 any time, or request a quote online and a dispatcher replies within the hour.
What fuels can you deliver in Orlando?
Clear on-road diesel (ULSD #2), red-dyed off-road diesel, gasoline, diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) and R99 renewable diesel. Most customers combine two or more on the same delivery.
Do you deliver diesel to generators in Orlando?
Yes. Dyed diesel for standby and prime generators, on a refill schedule or as an emergency run during an outage. Generator fueling →
Do you offer mobile fleet fueling in Orlando?
Yes. We wet-hose trucks and equipment in your yard, usually overnight, and log every gallon by unit. Mobile fleet fueling →
Can you deliver bulk diesel to our tanks in Orlando?
Yes. Anything from 20 gallons to a 7,500-gallon transport load, into above-ground, underground or portable tanks. Bulk delivery →
How much fuel can you deliver at once?
Tank wagon deliveries run from 20 to 4,400 gallons per drop, and full transport loads to 7,500 gallons or more for large bulk tanks. Tell us your tank size and usage and we’ll recommend the right format.
How much is diesel tax in Florida?
On-road (clear) diesel in Florida carries $0.6580 per gallon in combined federal and state taxes and fees, and off-road (dyed) diesel $0.0260 per gallon, as of October 16, 2026. Sales and local taxes are extra where they apply. Using dyed diesel on public roads is illegal. See diesel taxes by state →
Do you offer emergency fuel delivery in Orlando?
Yes. If a generator is running low or a site is about to run dry, call 800-720-4546 and a dispatcher will confirm what we can get to you and when.
Can you set up recurring scheduled deliveries?
Yes. Most customers start with a one-time delivery and move to a recurring schedule, so tanks, generators and fleets are topped up before they run low, without anyone having to call it in.
Do you rent fuel tanks?
Yes. We rent diesel and gasoline tanks from 119 to 17,000 gallons, with pumps, meters and hose fitted, and refills on a schedule. See our fuel tank rental page for sizes.
Do you have smaller trucks for tight sites?
Yes. Smaller delivery trucks reach tight urban sites, parking structures and jobsites where a full-size tanker can’t fit.
What payment options do you accept?
Credit cards, ACH and checks. Credit terms are available for qualifying commercial accounts. Ask your dispatcher for details.
