I-78 warehouses and the 31.9-inch blizzard in Allentown
Serving Lehigh County
Allentown sits in the middle of the Lehigh Valley’s warehouse boom. Local governments in Lehigh and Northampton counties approved about 44 million square feet of industrial and warehouse space from 2015 through 2023. In 2021 alone, 8.4 million square feet came online. Many of the buildings along I-78 in Lehigh County went up on former farmland. Those buildings are served by tractors, yard trucks and reefer trailers that need diesel and DEF.
Construction has slowed since the peak. Less than 2 million square feet was under construction at the end of 2023. What remains is a large base of operating distribution centers.
Lehigh Valley Hospital–Cedar Crest in Allentown has 981 beds and the region’s Level I adult trauma center, the first trauma center designated in Pennsylvania. Hospitals that size run large standby generators.
The Blizzard of 2016
In January 2016, Allentown took 31.9 inches of snow, a city record. Most of it, 30.2 inches, fell in a single day. Fill generator and equipment tanks before a storm, and switch to winter-blend diesel before the first hard freeze.

How Fuel Gets to You
Mobile fueling or bulk delivery: which fits your Allentown site?
Three delivery formats. We’ll quote whichever fits your volume, site access and cost target.
Wet-Hose Fueling
Mobile fleet fueling
Overnight or day shift, fuel direct to each tank
A driver pulls into your yard after hours, fuels every truck or piece of equipment directly, logs each fill, and clears out before your crews arrive. No staff required on site.
Best for: Trucking fleets, delivery yards, rental fleets and service vehicles.
Tank Wagon Delivery
On-site tank fills
20 – 4,400 gallons per drop · same-day or scheduled
A smaller delivery truck fills your day tank, jobsite bulk tank or generator. The flexible option when volume varies or site access is tight.
Best for: Construction sites, generator refills, day tanks and smaller bulk storage.
Transport Load
Bulk transport delivery
Full transport loads to 7,500+ gallons · scheduled
Tractor-trailer delivery straight into large bulk storage. The lowest cost per gallon for high-volume buyers.
Best for: Data centers, large industrial sites, agriculture and rail yards.

Allentown FAQ
Allentown fuel delivery questions, answered
Do you fuel trucks and yard tractors at Lehigh Valley distribution centers?
Yes. Mobile fleet fueling fills tractors, yard trucks and forklifts in your lot overnight or between shifts, with DEF on the same visit. Give dispatch your gate and dock rules when you order.
Can you deliver to a warehouse construction site with no fuel storage?
Yes. We deliver dyed off-road diesel to equipment on site, from 20 to 4,400 gallons per drop. If you need storage, ask about a fuel tank rental.
How do Allentown sites prepare for a big snow?
Fill generator and equipment tanks before the storm and switch to winter-blend diesel ahead of the cold. The Blizzard of 2016 dropped 31.9 inches on Allentown, and trucks move slowly for days after a storm like that.

Yes. FuelGo dispatch runs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, including nights, weekends and holidays. Call 800-720-4546 any time, or request a quote online and a dispatcher replies within the hour.

How much fuel can you deliver at once?

How much is diesel tax in Pennsylvania?
On-road (clear) diesel in Pennsylvania carries $1.0003 per gallon in combined federal and state taxes and fees, and off-road (dyed) diesel $0.0653 per gallon, as of October 16, 2026. Sales and local taxes are extra where they apply. Using dyed diesel on public roads is illegal. See diesel taxes by state →

Can you set up recurring scheduled deliveries?
Yes. Most customers start with a one-time delivery and move to a recurring schedule, so tanks, generators and fleets are topped up before they run low, without anyone having to call it in.
Do you rent fuel tanks?
Yes. We rent diesel and gasoline tanks from 119 to 17,000 gallons, with pumps, meters and hose fitted, and refills on a schedule. See our fuel tank rental page for sizes.
Do you have smaller trucks for tight sites?
