The Boneyard, one pipeline and record summers in Tucson

Serving Pima County

Tucson’s biggest single site is a military one. The 309th Aerospace Maintenance and Regeneration Group at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base stores nearly 4,000 aircraft on 2,600 acres. It’s the largest aircraft storage and preservation facility in the world. Ground equipment and the contractors who support the base run on diesel and gasoline.

Tucson’s pipeline fuel arrives on Kinder Morgan’s SFPP East Line, which runs from El Paso, Texas to Tucson and Phoenix. On April 1, 2026, Kinder Morgan put an East Line expansion into service that added 2,500 barrels a day of diesel capacity to Tucson. Customers had committed to all of that capacity under long-term contracts before it opened.

Heat that never lets up

Summer 2024 tied 2020 as Tucson’s hottest summer on record, averaging 90.0°F. The city logged six days at 110°F or hotter that summer. Reefer units, cooling systems and backup generators all run hardest in that stretch.

Diesel that sits in hot tanks for months should be checked before it’s needed. Fuel polishing and lab testing find problems while there’s still time to fix them.

Mobile fueling or bulk delivery: which fits your Tucson site?

Three delivery formats. We’ll quote whichever fits your volume, site access and cost target.

Wet-Hose Fueling
Mobile fleet fueling
Overnight or day shift, fuel direct to each tank
A driver pulls into your yard after hours, fuels every truck or piece of equipment directly, logs each fill, and clears out before your crews arrive. No staff required on site.
Best for: Trucking fleets, delivery yards, rental fleets and service vehicles.
Tank Wagon Delivery
On-site tank fills
20 – 4,400 gallons per drop · same-day or scheduled
A smaller delivery truck fills your day tank, jobsite bulk tank or generator. The flexible option when volume varies or site access is tight.
Best for: Construction sites, generator refills, day tanks and smaller bulk storage.
Transport Load
Bulk transport delivery
Full transport loads to 7,500+ gallons · scheduled
Tractor-trailer delivery straight into large bulk storage. The lowest cost per gallon for high-volume buyers.
Best for: Data centers, large industrial sites, agriculture and rail yards.
